Amanda Magalhães has stood out both for her ability as a singer and for her compositions. Multitalented, the musician is responsible for the musical production of her work and is the daughter of renowned producer and arranger William Magalhães (Banda Black Rio) - whom she calls her funk, soul and samba guru - and granddaughter of Oberdan Magalhães - one of the best tenor saxophonists that Brazil has ever had -, who founded Banda Black Rio in 1976. She grew up in a musical environment where the influence of black music was intense.

Maré de Cheiro (2023)

"Maré de Cheiro", Amanda’s second studio album, mixes rhythms from the southeast and northeast regions of Brazil with a contemporary look, bringing together important names in Brazilian popular music, such as Assucena, Dulce and Severina Baracho, Banda Black Rio and Lurdez da Luz. Going through musical genres such as ciranda, pagodão baiano, funk carioca, samba, cumbia and electronic music, "Maré de Cheiro" combines ancestry and modernity by merging chants, rhythms and textures in an original, miscegenated and dancing sound experience. The repertoire takes us through a colorful tropical atmosphere that evokes landscapes, beliefs, and desire.

Fragma (2020)

Entitled FRAGMA, Amanda's album featuring Seu Jorge and Liniker, brought influences from R&B, pop and contemporary music in compositions entirely signed and produced by the artist. The album brought together references from North American black music all the way to the swing of national Brazilian rhythms.
